Rule

The rule is defined to detect all unexpected thing in the system.

This section is used to manage all rules in the system such as create, edit, activate/deactivate, and delete.

Rule List

This part displays the list of the rule.

Column NameDescription
Rule NameName of Rule.
FrequencyThe schedule to run the rule.
Last Run TimeThe last date/time when the rule was run.
Next Run TimeThe next run time of the rule.
Update ByThe name of the account who updated the rule.
Update AtThe last date/time when the rule was updated.
ActionActionperformed on the rule.
ButtonDescription

Is used to active/deactivate the rule.

Is used to edit rule.

Is used to delete rule

Is used to show/hide advance search.

Is used to download the list of Rule by two types of file: CSV and XLS.

Is used to refresh to get latest the list of Rule.

Is used to set the total of records per a page.

Is used to select the column which will be shown/hidden.

Is used to go to next, previous page. It is also used to go to the specific page by clicking on the number of page.

This page allows user to search data by Rule Name. Input the name of rule in textbox then click on the Query button, the result will be displayed.

Adding New Rule

To add new Rule, click on Create New button. There are 4 step to add new Rule.

Step1: Define Monitoring Scope

This step defines the scope that the rule will monitor.

Monitoring Rule NameName of rule.
Monitoring OnName of Ingress/Egress Trunk which rule is applied to monitor.
Include

Select the codes will be monitored.

All Select all Codes.
Specific codes Input specific codes into textbox.
Excude

Select the codes out of scope

All Select all Codes.
Specific codes Input specific codes into textbox.
ScopeScope defines the type of traffic that should be under monitoring

Filling in all fields and click on Next button to go to next page or Back button to back to previous page

Step2: Define Condition

This step is used to define the condition to check the call. It the condition is matched, the action will be triggered.

Field NameDescription
Monitoring Data BySelect subjects to monitoring data by: Trunk, ANI, DNIS, Destination, Country and Code
ACDCondition about ACD (Average Call Duration). It equals the total call time divided by the total number of calls
ASRCondition about ASR (Answer-Seizure Ratio). It is the percentage of answered telephone calls with respect to the total call volume.
PDDCondition about PDD (Post Dial Delay).
SDPShort Call Percentage =  percentage of calls that is 6 seconds or less
ProfitabilityCondition about Profitability.
RevenueCondition about Revenue.
Min Call AttemptThe Minimum Attempt Call

Filling in all fields and click on Next button to go to next page or Back button to back to previous page

Step3: Define Frequency and Sample Size

This step is used to define the schedule to execute the rule.

Execution Schedule

Select schedule to execute Rule.

NeverNever execute rule.
Every Specific Minutes Run every specific minutes.
DailyRun on specific time of every day.
WeekyRun on specific time of specific day of week.
Sample SizeSelect specific minutes for sample size

Filling in all fields and click on Next button to go to next page or Back button to back to previous page.

Step4: Define Action

Final step is define action when condition is met.

Field NameDescription
ActiveStatus of rule. Active if checked and Inactive if Unchecked.
BlockSelect action when condition is met: Block if checked and Don't Block if Unchecked.
Enable Auto Unblock

Enable Auto Unblock mode.

  • Yes: You have to input the number of mins to auto unblock.
  • No: You have to unlock manually.
Unblock After (mins)Auto Unblock after specific minutes.
Send emailIf checked, notification email will be sent and vice versa.
Send toReciever Address.
From emailSender email address.
SubjectSubject of notification email.
ContentContent of notification email.

Finally, Click Finish button to completely create new rule. 

Alert Rule Log

This tab is used to record all log when Rule is executed. Click on Alert Rule Log tab, new interface will be appeared:

PeriodSelect the period time when the rule executed completely.
NameQuery by Rule Name

Filling in criteria then lick on the Query button, the result form will be displayed.

To see details of a Rule Log, click on  icon, the new window will be displayed as below:
