In this module we will see how to simulate the calls to check if the Routing is correct or not.

To go to this section, Click on 

Tools -> Call Simulation

It consist of 2 section, i.e.

  • Origination

  • Termination


Your Call Simulation will be Normal only when your Rates & Routing is correct.

First we will see,

Origination Call Simulation

It is used to check call simulation of DID Section.

We will see how to Simulated DID Call.

  • Server → Select the Server, By default it will be automatically present on the form.
  • DID Vendor Name → Select the DID Vendor from dropdown for which you want to simulate call.
  • ANI → Enter the Number which you will dial to make call.
  • DNIS → Enter the DID Number (The number which you will use to call) can find it in DID Repository.


With the help of above information, i have simulate a DID Call and the result of Call Simulation is shown below.

We have simulated a call and as you can see Release Cause: Normal means that the DID Repository (Routing) is correct.

Termination Call Simulation

It is used to check call simulation of Termination Section.

We will see how to simulate Termination Call

  • Server → Select the Server, By default it will be automatically present on the form.
  • Ingress Trunk → Select the Ingress Trunk (Client's Trunk) from the dropdown for which you want to simulate call.
  • Host → Select the IP Address of the Ingress Trunk, it will only displays the IP's connected to selected Trunk.
  • ANI → Enter the Number from which you will call. (Callers Number)
  • DNIS → Enter the Number on which you will call. (Receiver Number)


With the help of above information, i have simulate a Termination Call and the result of Call Simulation is shown below.

We have simulated a call and as you can see Release Cause: Normal means that the Routing is correct.
