To setup a vendor to send traffic you have to start with creating a new vendor,

To create a new vendor, Go to Termination → Vendor

Below displayed window will appear.

To Create a New Vendor, Click on Create New button on the above displayed window, New Vendor window will appear,

Basic Info

You have to start by entering Basic Information’s.

As you can see in above displayed window you have to enter basic info with the help of table below.

Field Name

Description

Name

You have to enter the name of the vendor.

Type

Type of account i.e. by default set as Vendor.

Main Email

You have to enter the company email or main email of company here.

NOC Email

You have to enter the Network Operation Centre Email here.

Status

You can select the status of vendor i.e. Active/Inactive.

Call Limit

You can set the limit of calls of Vendor at a time.

CPS Limit

You can set the Call Per Second Limit of Vendor.

By entering all the fields, click on NEXT button to proceed to the next section.

Next section is Company Info.

Company Info

You have to enter the company information’s here.

Fields

Description

Company Name

Enter the name of company here.

Billing Email

Enter the email of company billing department.

Address

Enter the address of the company’s location.

By entering all the fields, click on NEXT button to proceed to the next section.

Next section is Self Service Portal.

Self Service Portal

This section is used to configure User Interface Web Portal for Vendor to Login.

Here in the portal vendor can login and check reports as given permissions like to view CDR List, Reports etc.

Field

Description

Username

Set Username for vendor to login to the portal.

Password

Set Password for vendor to login to the portal.

Permissions

By checking on the different permissions checkbox, Client will have access to those sections like CDR’s List, Reports etc as shown in the window displayed above.

By entering all the fields, click on NEXT button to proceed to the next section.

Next section is Notification Setting.

Notification Setting

By checking on the Enable Notification Box, Vendor will get different notifications like Low balance alert.

You can set the low balance notification, you can set the how much balance is left when so it will notify the client.

You can set notification time like Daily or Hourly and at what time of the day.

Also you can choose whether you want to send the trunk details too.

After filling all the sections with required fields, Click on SUBMIT button to save.

New Vendor will be created.

Welcome Letter Popup will appear, you can choose YES or NO whether you want to send Welcome Letter.

After this NEW EGRESS Trunk PAGE will appear. Egress Trunk is used as Vendor Trunk.

Field Name

Description

Egress Name

Set the Name of the Egress Trunk.

Call Limit

Limit of Call Pass through Egress Trunk.

CPS Limit

Limit of Call Per Second through Egress Trunk.

PDD Timeout

Post Dial Delay timeout.

Carriers

Select the carrier in which you want to create Egress Trunk.

Media Type

There are two types of Media:

By pass Media

Takes place when the carrier establishes the call but removes itself from the media pathway.

Proxy Media

The opposite of media by pass, the carrier remains in the media path for the duration of the call.

Authorized

There are 3 types of Authorization for the Trunk.

Authorized by Host Only

For this option, IP/Host of Caller must match with authorized IP/Host, call will be passed

Authorized by SIP Registration

Authorized by SIP Registration.

Register to gateway

Authorized by register to gateway.

Use Authorized by Host Only for Accepting Traffic

Min Duration

Set the Minimum Call Duration Time.

Max Duration

Set the Maximum Call Duration Time.

Ring Timer

Set the Max Ring Time for a call passing through Egress Trunk.

Min Profitability

Set the Minimum Profitability of calls passing through this Trunk.

Active

Status of Egress Trunk: Activate (True) or Deactivate (False).

Rate Table

Select the Rate Table for Egress Trunk.

Enforce CID Block

Enforce CID Block for this trunk by checking the box. Please refer CID Block for more details.

Pass LRN to header

Give Permission by checking the box to Pass Location Routing Number to header.

Enable T38

Give Permission by checking the box to Enable the T38 protocol for this trunk.

Codecs

Select Codes for encoding or decoding a digital data or call signal i.e. Mostly used codec like G729.

Multi-Host Routing Strategy

Routing Strategy when there are many Hosts belong to Egress Trunk.

Top-Down

Top hosts will be prioritized.

Round-Robin

It is an arrangement of choosing all hosts in a group equally in some rational order.

Add Host

This form is displayed if selected Authorized by Host-Only.

Filling out all parameters and click on SUBMIT button to save.

NEW EGRESS TRUNK will be created, as shown in below displayed windows.

Following this Procedure, The Vendor and its Trunk will be created.

Now for Accepting the Traffic on this Vendor's Trunk you have to add the Vendor's Trunk in Routing, There are 2 types of Routing i.e. Dynamic Routing & Static Routing.

We will see both the steps one by one. This Routing are used to create Routing Plan, we will see Routing Plan also how to use, and the Routing Plan is assigned to the Client's.

Dynamic Routing

Dynamic routing allows as many routes as possible to remain valid in response to the change.

To go to Dynamic Routing, Click on Routing → Dynamic Routing

Below displayed window will appear.

To Create a New Dynamic Routing, Click on Create New Button. Create Dynamic Routing window will appear.

Column Name

Description

Name

Set the Name of the Rule.

Routing Rule

Type of Routing Rule:

Largest ACD

Largest Average Call Duration. For this rule, The Trunk which have largest Average Call Duration will be given priority

Largest ASR

Largest Answer-Seizure Ratio. For this rule, The Trunk which have largest Answer-Seizure Ratio will be given priority

LCR

Least-Cost Routing. For this rule, The route which have least cost will be given priority.

Time profile

Time profile field is used to set the range time when the route will be in use. You can configure Time profile under Configuration → Time Profile.

Qos Cycle

This field is used to set the cycle time when QoS monitor will be run.

Add Egress

Click on Add Egress button to add Egress Trunk. Select Carries and Trunk name from dropdown list.

Carriers

Name of Carriers

Trunk Name

Egress Trunk belong to Carrier

You can click on delete icon to remove Egress Trunk.

Add All Egress

Clicking on this button, it will automatically add all the Egress Trunks in the Dynamic Routing.

Delete All

This button is used to delete all the Egress Trunks from the Dynamic Routing.

Delete Selected

This button is used to delete the selected Egress Trunks which you have selected from the checkbox.

Set the Type of Routing Rule, and Add Egress Trunk in Routing, Select Carrier & The Egress Trunk of the Carrier.

Click on SUBMIT button to create the Dynamic Routing. 


Now we will see STATIC ROUTING 

STATIC ROUTING

Static routing is not a routing protocol; instead, it is the manual configuration and selection of a network route, usually managed by the network administrator.

To go to this option click on Routing → Static Routing

Below displayed window will appear.

To Create a New Static Routing, Click on Create New Button. Create Static Routing window will appear.

Enter the Name in the field to set the name of New Static Routing. You can Define the Static Routing Pattern by Code, Code Name & Country, you can choose anyone according to your convenience.

You can choose the Routed By Pattern by LRN or DNIS.

After filling all the Parameters, click on SAVE Icon to create a Static Routing.

Now you can edit the Static Routing and add Routing Patterns in it.

How to add a New Routing Rule in Static Routing

To add a new Routing rule in Static Routing, click on the Static Routing name.

Below displayed window will appear.

To create a New Routing Rule in Static Routing , Click on Create New Button

Below displayed window will appear where you can create a new rule.

Column Name

Description

Code

The code of the route. When the caller calls to this code, the routings will be applied. Example 65 for Singapore

Strategy

Top-Down: The trunk on top has the highest priority

By Percentage: The calls are allocated based on what percentage the trunk is given. For example: trunk A is given a percentage of 50%, trunk B is given a percentage of 50%. With this example, half the calls will be allocated to trunk A and half will be allocated to trunk B.

Round Robin: It is an arrangement of choosing all hosts in a group equally in some rational order.

Time Profile

The schedule time when the route takes effective.

Carriers

Select the Vendor carrier from dropdown.

Trunk

Select the Egress Trunk from dropdown.

Percentage

Enter the Percentage you want to use for strategy percentage wise.

After selecting Routing Rules & Entering the criteria, click on SUBMIT button.

The new Routing Rule created in Static Routing is displayed below.

As shown in above displayed window the details of Static Routing rule. You can create many routing rules in the static routing with Create New Button.


Now you have seen both the Routing Patterns i.e. Dynamic & Static Routing.

These Routing should be added into Routing Plan so that they can be assigned to Client's. We will see how to Create Routing Plans.

Routing Plan

A routing plan is a combination of route categories in a specific order. It defines which categories of vendors will be available for termination and in what sequence.

To go to Routing Plan, click on Routing → Routing Plan

How to Add a New Routing Plan

To add a New Routing Plan click on Create New Button, a blank form will appear as displayed below.

Enter the Name in the field to set the name of new Routing Plan. After entering the name click on SAVE Icon to create a new routing plan.

How to add a New Routing Rule in Routing Plan

To add a new Routing rule in Static Routing, click on the Static Routing name.

Below displayed window will appear.

To create a New Routing Rule in Routing Plan TEST, Click on Create New Button

Below displayed window will appear where you can create a new rule.

Column Name

Description

Route Type

Choose the Type of Route which will be used in Routing Plan,

It consist of 4 types i.e.

Dynamic Routing

Choose the Dynamic Routing from dropdown.

Static Routing

Choose the Static Routing from dropdown.

Dynamic Routing-Static Routing

You can choose both, Dynamic & Static Routing from dropdown.

Static Routing and then Dynamic Routing

First the Static Routing will come in process then Dynamic Routing. You can choose this Routing one by one.

You can create New Dynamic & Static Routing by clicking on  icon.

ANI Prefix

Enter the ANI Prefix which will be used in Routing

ANI Min Length

Minimum Length of ANI Number.

ANI Max Length

Maximum Length of ANI Number.

DNIS Prefix

Enter the DNIS Prefix which will be used in Routing

DNIS Length Min

Minimum Length of DNIS Number.

DNIS Length Max

Maximum Length of DNIS Number.

After selecting Routing Rules & Entering the criteria, click on SUBMIT button.

The new Routing Rule created in Routing Plan is displayed below.

This section displays the details of routing rule. You can create many routing rules in the routing plan with Create New Button.


You have seen the procedure of Routing, You can use the Routing Plan for Client's. You can Assign the Routing Plan to any of your Client's Trunk so the Client can send Traffic that will pass to that Vendor.
